26 Injured as two buses and truck collide on Mugling–Narayangadh Road
Kathmandu: At least 26 people were injured after two passenger buses and a truck collided on the Mugling–Narayangadh road near Jalbire in Chitwan at around 7:10 am on Sunday.
The three-vehicle crash caused extensive damage to the buses and briefly disrupted traffic along one of Nepal’s busiest highways. Police, local residents and rescue teams rushed to the scene, rescuing injured passengers from the damaged vehicles before transporting them to hospitals in Bharatpur for treatment.
The collision temporarily blocked the Mugling–Narayangadh road, resulting in traffic congestion in both directions. Authorities later cleared the damaged vehicles from the roadway, allowing normal traffic to resume.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Further details regarding the condition of the injured and the circumstances leading to the collision are expected as the investigation progresses.
