2nd South Asia International Book Fair underway at Bhrikutimandap
The second South Asia International Book Fair is currently being held at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. The event, which began on January 1, will run until January 5, 2025. The event is organized under the theme of embracing the principle and necessity of quality educational materials for fostering quality education and awareness.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Badri Pandey, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. The opening ceremony was attended by Chen Song, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and Dhanraj Acharya, Mayor of Pokhara.
According to the organizers, the exhibition features participation from publishers, producers, and distributors from Nepal, China, South Asia (including India), and several other countries. It aims to strengthen ties between South Asian nations by fostering exchanges in education, literature, art, culture, and communication.
Jointly organized by the Federation of Nepal Books and Stationery Business and Current Media and Research Center, the exhibition will run until January 5, 2025 (Poush 21).
