9th International Women’s Trade Expo 2026: empowering women’s growth
Kathmandu – The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FEWAN) has announced the 9th edition of the International Women’s Trade Expo, scheduled to take place from April 3 to 5, 2026, at Heritage Garden in Lalitpur. This three-day event will bring together women entrepreneurs, business owners, and exporters from Nepal and abroad, offering a platform to showcase indigenous products, broaden market access, foster business networks, and stimulate collaborations.
Expo Features:
140 exhibition stalls presenting a wide variety of products, including handicrafts, natural and organic goods, carpets, handmade paper, organic food items, local cuisines, agricultural products, herbal goods, sculptures, jewelry, and decorative items.
International participation from countries such as India, China, Korea, and Bhutan, with products ranging from fabric and cosmetics to electrolyte drinks and recycled goods.
300 women entrepreneurs from across Nepal will be showcasing their products, with special provisions for women with disabilities and start-up businesses at subsidized rates.
FEWAN aims to highlight the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of women across various sectors, offering a platform to build visibility in both local and global markets while promoting economic growth and business expansion.

Ramp Walk showcasing garments and products made from natural fibers.
Handicraft Showcase featuring live displays of artisanal craftsmanship.
International exhibitors to exchange skills and experiences with Nepalese entrepreneurs.
Workshops and panels focused on B2B networking, mentor-mentee programs, digitalization, and financial literacy.
A social empowerment platform that enables women to grow their businesses and expand their reach in new markets.
The expo is expected to generate over NPR 20 million in transactions and attract more than 50,000 visitors.
Special Events:
A panel discussion titled “Unlocking Nepal’s Natural Fiber Economy” will be held, organized by DAI and Nepal in Business UK International Development. The session will explore opportunities and challenges in the natural fiber sector, including investment and market expansion strategies.
The “Fiber to Fashion – Echoes of Earth” Ramp Walk, where Nepali models and entrepreneurs will present traditional and culturally inspired outfits made from allo, cotton, pashmina, silk, and other natural fibers, highlighting sustainable fashion.
The launch of the 14th edition of “Enterprising Women Nepal,” which will showcase the inspiring stories of women entrepreneurs in Nepal.
The International Women’s Trade Expo 2026 is not only a business exhibition but also a significant event for promoting women’s entrepreneurship, social and economic empowerment, and knowledge exchange while connecting participants with international markets.
