Saraswati Puja celebrated with devotion across educational institutions
Kathmandu: Saraswati Puja, honoring Goddess Saraswati, was celebrated across Nepal with enthusiasm on Monday. Schools, colleges, and temples saw devotees gathering for blessings of wisdom and prosperity.
An idol of Goddess Saraswati was donated to the principal of Shree Rudrayani Secondary School in Khokana, Lalitpur, by the family of Juju Kaji Maharjan, marking their fifth consecutive year of contributions in honor of their son, Prajuman. Previous donations were made to Dhading, Nuwakot, Nagarkot, and Teku. His generosity continues to inspire students and the community. Pramila Rajkarnikar was specially acknowledged for her support in facilitating this meaningful donation.
In Kathmandu, temples like Swoyambhu, Maitidevi, and Neel Saraswati saw large crowds. Kanya Mandir School, Chhetrapati, and Nawaneet Toddlers’ Zone, Kuleshwor, also held traditional celebrations.
Southwestern State College, Basundhara, Kathmandu, hosted a grand Saraswati Puja, with teachers, staff, parents, and students participating in a special ceremony. Event coordinator Rajendra Prasad Lamichhane highlighted the cultural and spiritual importance of the day.
