One river, three countries – Karnali river photo exhibition!

Kathmandu, Nepal – A captivating photo exhibition, Karnali River: A Journey of 1080km in 45 Days, is set to take place at the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in Kathmandu on February 13 and 14, 2025. The exhibition, curated by Nabin Baral, a renowned photographer will showcase stunning visuals of the Karnali River’s course through three countries—China, Nepal, and India.
The Karnali, Nepal’s longest river, originates from Tibet and winds its way through the Himalayas, cutting through deep gorges and vast plains before merging into the Ghaghara River in India. The exhibition aims to highlight the river’s ecological and cultural significance, capturing breathtaking landscapes, roaring rapids, and the communities that depend on its waters.
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days and is supported by the Nepal Tourism Board and the Nepal River Conservation Trust. Visitors can expect a visual storytelling experience that brings to life the journey of one of South Asia’s most remarkable rivers.
This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for photography enthusiasts, conservationists, and nature lovers to explore the beauty and challenges of Karnali through the lens of an expert photographer.
