Nokia is back, with Android phones
August 04, 2017: HMD Global, the Finnish company that licensed the rights to produce Nokia phones has unveiled Nokia-branded Android devices that are designed to cater for the mid-range of the smartphone market.
Paramount Electronics Pvt Ltd is the authorised distributor of Nokia android smartphones in Nepal. Nokia also has official customer care service center in Nepal.
In the initial phase, four models of the company – Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 along with Nokia 3310 (a nostalgic old-school Nokia charm model) with all dual simcard slots – are available in the market.
HMD is taking a fairly unique approach, just like Motorola, to these Nokia phones by offering up Google’s Android Nougat OS in its purest form. That means no bundled third-party apps, no UI customizations, and regular security updates.
For Nokia 3, the phone comes with a 5.0-inch HD display, Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, PURE ANDROID NOUGAT OS 7.0 and a 2630mAh battery. The price of Nokia 3 is Rs 15,650
Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core 1.4 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, full aluminum body, PURE ANDROID NOUGAT OS 7.1.1, and a 3,000mAh battery. The price of Nokia 5 is Rs 21,350.
Nokia 6’s features are quiet impressive and has 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 chipset, Octa-Core 1.4GHz processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, full aluminum body, 8MP front camera and 16MP rear camera, fingerprint scanner, PURE ANDROID NOUGAT OS 7.1.1 and a 3,000mAh battery. The price of Nokia 6 is Rs 25,600.
Nokia said it will soon be launching Nokia 8 with more powerful features soon in the Nepalese market.
