Lumbini Tech Month 2026: Nepalese Youth to Gain Digital Edge Through Month-Long IT Initiative
In a first-of-its-kind initiative for Lumbini Province, the CSIT Association of Butwal Multiple Campus (CSITABMC) has announced Lumbini Tech Month 2026, a month-long program designed to equip Nepalese youth with advanced technical skills, innovation capacity, and personal development opportunities.
Bridging Academia and Industry
This landmark event aims to narrow the gap between academic learning and industry needs, offering students and tech enthusiasts an intensive, hands-on exposure to current and emerging technologies. The program is structured around three pillars: Technical Skill, Innovation, and Personal Growth, catering to aspiring developers, digital entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers alike.
Program Structure: Three Weeks of Thematic Learning
- Code Week – Participants will engage in deep-dive sessions covering programming languages, software development, and cutting-edge digital technologies.
- No-Code Week – Workshops on building digital solutions and automating processes without coding, ideal for entrepreneurs and non-technical innovators.
- Personal Development Week – Focused on leadership, public speaking, and strategic career guidance, preparing participants for the human-side challenges of tech careers.
Exclusive Opportunities: Scholarships and Data Fellowship
Through partnerships with global organizations GitHub Education and DataCamp, the initiative will launch a Data Fellowship Program. The program will award full scholarships to 100 high-performing students, enabling them to master data science and analytics—skills increasingly demanded in the global market.
Hybrid Learning Model and Grand Finale
The month-long event follows a hybrid format:
- Virtual Workshops (Weeks 1–3): Accessible online, allowing nationwide participation.
- Physical Bootcamp (Week 4): Hosted at Umai Garden Resort, offering hands-on experiences.
The finale will feature a Tech Treasure Hunt, expert talks, and a high-level panel discussion with Tribhuvan University Deans and industry leaders, exploring ways to align Nepal’s IT curriculum with global trends.
