Dr. Narayan Datt Kandel appointed as attorney general of Nepal

Kathmandu- Advocate Dr. Narayan Datt Kandel has been appointed as the Attorney General of Nepal.

President Ram Chandra Paudel made the appointment following the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in a meeting held today.

The position of Attorney General is a constitutional role and serves as the chief legal advisor to the Government of Nepal. The office also represents the government in legal matters before courts and provides guidance on constitutional and legal issues.

Dr. Kandel’s appointment is expected to strengthen the government’s legal framework and support the effective implementation of laws and policies.
