New Rule in Kathmandu: Landlords Can Demand Police Clearance from Tenants

Kathmandu – Police have advised landlords to keep proper records of tenants staying in their properties in order to improve identification and maintain better security. According to the District Police Range Kathmandu, landlords also have the option to request a Police Clearance Report if required.

Officials say this step will make it easier to verify the background of tenants and help prevent potential security risks. Keeping accurate records and using such reports when needed can support police efforts in maintaining safety and order in residential areas.
