Nepal Opens Applications For Prestigious ASOCIO Digital AI Award 2026
Kathmandu – Nepal’s IT sector and innovative tech companies now have a major opportunity to showcase their products and services on the global stage as applications for the prestigious ASOCIO Digital AI Award 2026 have officially opened. Organized by the ASOCIO, the award aims to recognize outstanding contributions in digital transformation and artificial intelligence across Asia and Oceania. Nepali companies, startups, government bodies, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations working in AI and digital innovation are encouraged to participate.
This year’s theme focuses on creating global opportunities for Nepali tech entrepreneurs by promoting locally developed products and services internationally. Speaking about the award, ASOCIO Vice President Navaraj Kunwar described it as a historic opportunity for Nepali technology entrepreneurs to validate the quality and global relevance of their innovations. Similarly, CAN Federation Acting President Chiranjeevi Adhikari urged Nepali tech companies, startups, and stakeholders to register and participate, highlighting that the platform would help demonstrate the positive impact of local technology and showcase Nepal’s technical talent globally.
The awards will honor innovative AI-driven initiatives in eight categories including cybersecurity, education, healthcare, smart agriculture, financial services, workforce development, manufacturing, and public good initiatives. Eligible applicants must have AI solutions that are at least in the pilot stage and have shown measurable results within the last 24 months. Each applicant can apply in only one category. According to CAN Federation General Secretary Chandra Bilas Bhurtel, the federation will fully support and facilitate the participation process for Nepali companies. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 30, 2026 during the ASOCIO Digital AI Summit 2026.
