Litmus Industries wins CNI award as Nepal’s largest exporter to India
Kathmandu — Litmus Industries Limited has received the “Largest Exporter in India Category” Award from the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), recognizing the company as the leading exporter to India among CNI member industries.
The award was presented during the 23rd Annual General Meeting of CNI held in Kathmandu. The recognition highlights Litmus Industries’ strong role in promoting Nepal’s manufacturing sector, expanding exports and contributing to the country’s economic growth through industrial production.
Litmus Industries is Nepal’s largest manufacturer of wires, cables and conductors. The company also holds the distinction of being the only manufacturer of aluminium and alloy rods in Nepal. Its products are used in infrastructure, construction, energy and industrial sectors in Nepal, while also being exported to India and other regional markets.
The company said the award reflects its continued focus on quality, innovation and manufacturing excellence. Litmus has also contributed to import substitution by producing key industrial materials inside Nepal that were previously imported from other countries.
Beyond exports, Litmus Industries has created direct and indirect employment opportunities and supported the growth of related industries across its supply chain. The company has continued to invest in technology, production capacity and skilled human resources to strengthen Nepal’s industrial base.
Litmus Industries Limited Chief Operating Officer Prakash Kafle said the recognition from CNI is a proud moment for the company. He said the award reflects the hard work of the entire Litmus team and strengthens the company’s commitment to Nepal’s industrial future.
“As Nepal’s leading wire, cable and conductor manufacturer, and the sole producer of aluminium and alloy rods in the country, we carry a responsibility not only to our customers but also to Nepal’s industrial development,” Kafle said. “We will continue to expand our exports, strengthen our global presence and support Nepal’s economic growth.”
The award has further strengthened Litmus Industries’ position as one of Nepal’s key manufacturing companies. The company said it remains committed to supporting Nepal’s vision of a stronger, self-reliant and export-oriented industrial economy.
