7 Killed, 16 Injured in Bus Crash in Kavre

Kathmandu- At least seven people were killed and 16 others injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in Kavrepalanchok district on Friday afternoon.According to police, the bus, bearing registration number Ba 3 Kha 8398, was traveling from  Banepa to Bhakundebesi when it crashed at Buchchakot, a short distance before reaching Bhakundebesi.

The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and plunged around 200 meters down a hillside, causing multiple casualties.Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Bista said that seven bodies have been recovered from the crash site, while 16 injured passengers were rescued and rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.

Chief District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari confirmed that the accident occurred in the Buchchakot area before the bus reached Bhakundebesi.Rescue and recovery operations are ongoing, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
