Vietnamese Monk arrives in Kathmandu after peace walk across Countries
Kathmandu: Vietnamese Buddhist monk Bhante Panna Kara and his peace walk team arrived in Kathmandu on Monday after walking thousands of miles across different countries to spread the message of peace, morality, compassion, and human unity.
The team reached Nepal as part of the International Walk for Peace campaign, which aims to promote non-violence, kindness, mindfulness, and harmony among people. Bhante Panna Kara has been leading peace walks in different parts of the world to raise awareness about the importance of inner peace and social harmony.
Along with the monk and his team, a dog named Aloka has also drawn public attention. Aloka is known as an international peace ambassador and has been part of the peace journey, symbolizing loyalty, compassion, and peaceful living.
After arriving in Kathmandu, the team is scheduled to visit several important Buddhist and spiritual sites, including Charumati Stupa, Boudha Stupa, Swayambhu Mahachaitya, and Anandakuti Vihar. The team is also expected to meet officials and share the message of peace from Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
The visit has gained attention as Nepal holds deep religious and cultural importance for Buddhists around the world. Organizers believe the peace mission will help spread Nepal’s identity as a land of peace while inspiring people to follow compassion, discipline, and unity in daily life.
The arrival of Bhante Panna Kara and his peace walk team in Kathmandu has been welcomed by Buddhist communities, peace supporters, and well-wishers, who see the campaign as a meaningful effort to connect people through spirituality and peace.
