Lumbini Tech Innovation Center, Radiant College Join Hands to Bridge Academia-Industry Gap in IT Education
Butwal- In a significant step toward strengthening Nepal’s technology ecosystem, **Lumbini Tech Innovation Center and Radiant College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term industry-academia partnership aimed at preparing students for the demands of the modern digital economy.
The collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between traditional classroom education and the rapidly evolving needs of the technology industry. By combining Radiant College’s academic expertise with Lumbini Tech’s industry experience, the partnership aims to nurture a skilled IT workforce in Lumbini Province and enhance students’ employability through practical learning.
Under the agreement, both institutions will jointly develop and update academic curricula by incorporating emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, and advanced Software Engineering. The initiative also emphasizes project-based learning, ensuring students gain hands-on experience alongside theoretical knowledge.
A key feature of the partnership is the provision of guaranteed internships and opportunities to work on live commercial and community-based technology projects. Students will also benefit from upgraded computer and AI laboratories equipped with modern software environments.The collaboration further includes mentorship programs, guest lectures by industry professionals, and faculty development initiatives designed to keep educators aligned with current technological trends and market expectations. In addition, scholarships and grants will be offered to high-performing and innovative students to encourage excellence in technology education.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr. Dhan Bahadur Rana, Founder Chairperson of Lumbini Tech Innovation Center, and Mr. Ananta Pandey, Principal of Radiant College, in the presence of Mr. Krishna Sapkota, Founder Director of Lumbini Tech.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rana said the partnership is focused on developing a sustainable local talent pool by exposing students to real-world industry practices and technical career pathways.Principal Mr. Pandey said integrating industry-oriented courses and project-based learning into the academic curriculum will provide students with a competitive advantage and help them transition smoothly into professional careers.The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for aspiring technology professionals while contributing to the growth of Nepal’s digital innovation ecosystem.
