South Korea Opens EPS Language Test Applications for 7,200 Nepali Workers

Kathmandu- The EPS Korea Section under Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment has opened applications for the Korean Language Proficiency Test under the Employment Permit System (EPS), offering a quota of 7,200 job opportunities for Nepali workers in South Korea.

According to the EPS Korea Section, the recruitment follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of Nepal and South Korea.

The Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) has allocated 5,000 positions in the manufacturing sector, 2,000 in agriculture and livestock, 100 in the service sector, and 100 in the forestry sector.

Online applications will be accepted from July 27 to August 2, 2026. Applicants must pay an application fee of USD 28.

Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 39 years of age, have no criminal convictions, must not have previously stayed illegally in South Korea and been deported, must not be restricted by the Government of Nepal from traveling abroad, and must not have stayed in South Korea for five years or more under E-9 or E-10 visas.

Candidates who pass the first-stage Korean language test will be required to appear for the next phase of the selection process. The final test result will remain valid for two years from the date of publication.

The EPS Korea Section has clarified that passing the Korean language examination does not guarantee employment in South Korea. Selection for employment depends on the recruitment process and demand from Korean employers.
