Samsung opens new AI Course in Nepal after Coding Programme Graduation

Kathmandu: Samsung Nepal has completed its latest Samsung Innovation Campus Coding & Programming course and opened applications for a new Artificial Intelligence programme, expanding its efforts to prepare young people for careers in Nepal’s growing digital economy.

The coding course was conducted from December 22, 2025, to June 30, 2026, providing students with practical programming skills, project-based learning and exposure to industry practices. Graduates were recognised at a ceremony marking the successful completion of the programme.

Speaking at the event, Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal, said Nepal’s young people have strong potential to contribute to the country’s digital future. He added that the growing use of artificial intelligence across industries has made digital skills, confidence and innovation increasingly important for future employment.

Samsung Innovation Campus was introduced in Nepal in 2023 under the company’s global corporate social responsibility vision, “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People.” The initiative focuses on emerging technologies while also developing workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, collaboration and critical thinking.

The newly announced AI course will focus on practical learning and real-world applications. Samsung said the programme is designed to help participants build relevant AI skills, encourage innovation and explore technology-based solutions to Nepal’s development challenges.

Samsung Nepal also plans to support graduates beyond the classroom through mentoring from company employees and industry professionals, career guidance and innovation projects. The company is preparing to establish a Samsung Innovation Campus Alumni Network to help graduates remain connected, continue learning and support future participants.

The company said stronger cooperation among universities, businesses and government agencies will be important for building Nepal’s AI ecosystem, creating more career opportunities and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
