Nepal Government Steps Up Peace efforts as Prime Minister meets President

Kathmandu – Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Thursday met President Ram Chandra Paudel at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas, to discuss the country’s latest developments, including the recent incidents of violence reported in different parts of Nepal.

During the meeting, President Paudel sought updates from the prime minister on the evolving security situation and expressed concern over the recent unrest, according to the President’s Press Adviser Kiran Pokharel.

Prime Minister Shah briefed the president on the government’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace, public order and security across the country.

President Paudel advised the government to work in coordination with political parties and all concerned stakeholders to restore normalcy with restraint and to strengthen social harmony.

Prime Minister Shah also spoke by telephone with Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, with the two leaders discussing the country’s current situation and exchanging views on national interests and the need for close coordination.
