Lalitpur: The Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco to Nepal organizes a Moroccan National Day Exhibition in Lalitpur to celebrate Morocco’s National Day while promoting the country’s rich culture, tourism, traditions, and bilateral friendship with Nepal.
The exhibition is being held on August 2 at The Plaza and is open to the public with free entry. Visitors have explore various aspects of Moroccan culture through interactive displays and cultural experiences.
According to the event organizers, the exhibition features a wide range of attractions, including traditional Moroccan cuisine, handcrafted pottery, authentic décor, cultural performances by Moroccan singers, tourism information, a travel desk, and visa assistance. Guests can also learn about Morocco’s history, heritage, architecture, and popular tourist destinations.
The event aims to strengthen cultural and people-to-people ties between Nepal and Morocco by giving visitors an opportunity to experience Morocco’s unique traditions and hospitality in Kathmandu. Nepal and Morocco established diplomatic relations in 1975, and the two countries have continued to expand cooperation in areas including diplomacy, culture, tourism, and trade.
Morocco celebrates its National Day (Throne Day) every year on July 30, commemorating the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne. The annual celebration is one of the country’s most significant national events and is observed through official ceremonies and cultural activities both within Morocco and by Moroccan diplomatic missions around the world.
The exhibition is expected to attract diplomats, members of the business community, tourism professionals, students, and the general public interested in learning more about Morocco’s cultural heritage and exploring future opportunities for tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
