KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield’s limited-edition Shotgun 650 Rough Crafts model sold out within just 180 seconds after bookings opened in India, highlighting strong demand for the motorcycle’s exclusive design and limited production.
Only 100 units of the special edition have been produced globally, with 25 units allocated to the Indian market. All 25 motorcycles were booked within three minutes. The model was priced at INR 575,000 in India.
The special edition was developed through a collaboration between Royal Enfield India and Taiwan-based custom motorcycle design company Rough Crafts. The motorcycle is inspired by Rough Crafts’ one-off Caliber Royale custom build and is presented as a factory-built custom model.
Its design includes hand-applied gold leaf stripes, a brass fuel tank badge, limited-edition numbering, a quilted leather seat, gold-finished front forks, special alloy wheels, and bar-end mirrors. The body combines matte Stealth Black and gloss Jet Black finishes, giving the motorcycle a premium and distinctive appearance.
Despite the visual changes, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged from the standard Shotgun 650. It uses the same 648cc parallel-twin, air-and-oil-cooled engine, producing 47 horsepower and 52.3 Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield said the remaining units will be offered in selected markets across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The rapid sellout underlines the appeal of limited-production motorcycles that combine exclusive styling with established performance.
