Kathmandu – The team led by presidential candidate Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha has officially unveiled its election manifesto for the 2026–2028 executive committee election of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), outlining a practical roadmap focused on strengthening Nepal’s tourism and travel industry.
The team has identified tourism promotion, protection of tourism businesses, policy reforms, digital transformation, and stronger collaboration among tourism-related associations and stakeholders as its key priorities.
Speaking at a press conference, Bishnu Pandey, candidate for Senior Vice President, said the manifesto has been designed around realistic and achievable commitments that can be implemented during the upcoming term. He stressed the need for stronger coordination with the government to address long-standing issues affecting the travel industry, including VAT and other taxation on international air tickets.

Pandey also highlighted the importance of creating policies that encourage tourists to stay longer and spend more in Nepal while promoting greater cooperation among all organisations associated with the country’s tourism sector.
Presidential candidate Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha said her team aims to build a more organised, technology-driven and competitive tourism industry. Among the team’s flagship commitments are international tourism promotion, support for new and small tourism entrepreneurs, and the implementation of the “Smart NATTA” concept.

The manifesto includes plans to promote Nepal in key international tourism markets, connect Nepali travel businesses with global buyers through digital platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) and B2B networking, and establish a
Single Window System and NATTA Help Desk to assist entrepreneurs and simplify business-related services.
The team has also pledged to work on resolving issues related to IATA, GDS and ADM, improve tourist transportation and intercity bus connectivity, coordinate with the government for the development of tourist bus terminals, strengthen NATTA’s provincial structure, and work against illegal and unauthorised tourism activities.
In addition, the team plans to launch capacity-building programmes through the NATTA Academy, offering training in digital marketing, AI, crisis management and modern tourism technologies for tourism professionals.
The team is contesting the election under the slogan “Strong Leadership, Secure Business, Prosperous Tourism for NATTA.”
