Kathmandu – Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17 and Redmi 17 5G in Nepal, expanding its Redmi smartphone lineup with a focus on long battery life, smooth displays and reliable everyday performance.
The highlight of the Redmi 17 series is its large 7,500mAh battery, one of the biggest capacities in its segment. Xiaomi says the battery is designed to support extended use for video streaming, gaming and daily tasks. Both models also support 45W turbo charging for faster recharging.
The smartphones additionally feature 22.5W reverse charging, allowing users to charge accessories such as earbuds, smartwatches or even another phone.
Both devices come with a 6.9-inch HD display and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling, gaming and video playback. The Redmi 17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra processor, while the Redmi 17 5G uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile platform for 5G connectivity.
The phones run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and support memory extension of up to 12GB RAM.
For photography, both models feature a 50MP AI dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera. They also support dual-view video recording. Other features include dual stereo speakers with up to 300% volume boost, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC support and IP64 dust and water resistance.
The Redmi 17 will be available in Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green and Lotus Purple. Its 4GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs. 27,999, while the 6GB+128GB version costs Rs. 33,999.
The Redmi 17 5G will be available in Black, Deep Blue and Vivid Orange. Prices start at Rs. 33,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, Rs. 37,999 for 4GB+256GB and Rs. 41,999 for the 6GB+256GB model.
