Kathmandu – A new destination for authentic Arabic cuisine has opened in Lazimpat with the launch of Sultan Arabic Grill and Papa’s Bar & Grill.
The restaurant has been established by film producer and entrepreneur Bhavishya Khadka and businessman Kedarnath Adhikari in partnership with Arab associates, with the aim of introducing authentic Arabic flavors and hospitality to both Nepali and international customers.
Sultan’s menu features more than 100 dishes, including hummus, mutabbal, baba ganoush, shawarma, chicken kebab, shish taouk, mandi and biryani. The restaurant has also brought in professional Arabic chefs to offer a more authentic dining experience.
Khadka said the concept is designed not only as a restaurant but also as a cultural and hospitality experience centered on Arabic food and traditions.
Alongside Sultan Arabic Grill, Papa’s Bar & Grill has also opened at the same location, offering food, beverages, music and entertainment for families, friends, tourists, expatriates and local customers.
The operators say the venue aims to attract Middle Eastern visitors looking for familiar cuisine while also introducing Nepali diners to a different culinary culture. They also see the restaurant as a new addition to Kathmandu’s growing gastronomic tourism scene.
Khadka added that the team plans to expand the concept further under Sultan Hospitality in the future.
