Kathmandu – Ncell has announced free voice, data and SMS services for people in areas affected by the devastating flood in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning.
Under the initiative, customers in the affected areas will receive free voice and data services for three days, along with 100 free SMS messages valid for the same period.
The company said the support is aimed at helping flood-affected residents remain connected with their families, rescue teams and emergency services during the crisis.
Reliable communication is particularly important during disasters, when people may need urgent information, assistance or coordination with relief agencies. Ncell said the free services are intended to help ensure continued access to communication in the affected areas.
The company also stated that it has regularly supported emergency response efforts during past disasters, including search and rescue operations and relief activities.
Ncell said the latest initiative is part of its effort to support affected communities and maintain essential communication services during the ongoing emergency.
