Rasuwa – A rescue team led by the Nepal Army has completed its search inside the tunnel of the flood-affected Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project (RHPL) after finding no people inside.
The search was launched following flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, which affected the hydropower project. There had been concerns that people might have been trapped near the far end of the tunnel after the disaster.
A Nepal Army team, accompanied by engineers and a drone team, entered the tunnel and carried out a detailed search. The rescuers reached the innermost section and final point of the tunnel, where drones were also deployed to check areas for any signs of people.
However, no human presence was detected during the search, confirming that no one was found inside the tunnel.
Following the completion of the operation, the Nepal Army rescue team returned to Dhunche, Rasuwa.
The search had been conducted as part of ongoing rescue and response efforts following the Bhotekoshi flood and concerns about people potentially trapped in affected infrastructure.
