Kathmandu – The fifth batch of China-aid emergency relief supplies arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on the afternoon of September 11, 2026, aboard a Y-20A large transport aircraft operated by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal H.E. Mr. Zhang Maoming and Nepal’s Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Honourable Mr. Mahabir Pun, attended the handover ceremony.
The latest shipment has been tailored to address Nepal’s most urgent needs as disaster relief efforts continue. It mainly includes diesel generators, medical protective masks, mortuary freezers, DNA testing equipment and reagents, and water rescue equipment.
The supplies are expected to strengthen Nepal’s capacity to carry out follow-up disaster response and relief operations efficiently.
