Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign Kicks off
January 1, 2020: The Visit Nepal 2020 campaign officially kicked off amid a grand ceremony on New Year’s Day. President Bidya Bhandari inaugurated the campaign at the Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday evening (January 1) by lighting the ‘Flame of Unity’.
The government has set a target of welcoming 2 million tourists to Nepal during 2020. The government had initiated similar campaigns in 1998 and 2011 as well.
During the inauguration ceremony, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, social welfare institutions among others staged march pass at the stadium.
Artists staged cultural show reflecting the art and tradition of Nepal.
