Kathmandu – Popular YouTuber MrBeast has launched a fundraising campaign targeting more than $1 million (around Rs. 15 crore) to support people affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Nepal. He had been planning to travel to Nepal to film a video but canceled the project following the disaster.
MrBeast said he is working with several brands to raise funds for flood-affected communities. Through his philanthropic organization, Beast Philanthropy, and international humanitarian organization CARE, the campaign aims to direct the collected funds toward emergency assistance for affected families.
The planned relief package will provide essential supplies for a four-member family for up to one month, including temporary shelter, solar-powered lights, cooking equipment, safe drinking water and personal hygiene items. CARE is coordinating with local partners to deliver assistance directly to affected communities.
The campaign is intended to provide immediate support to families who have lost their homes or are struggling to access basic necessities following the floods. MrBeast said the fundraising effort is being carried out with support from brands including P&G, with the stated aim of ensuring the funds directly benefit people affected by the disaster.
