Kathmandu – The 9th Nepal Real Estate and Housing Exhibition is set to begin in Kathmandu on September 17, bringing together real estate developers, construction material suppliers, investors, homebuyers and industry professionals under one platform.
The exhibition is being jointly organized by the Nepal Land and Housing Development Association and the Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Federation, in collaboration with the Nepal Chamber of Commerce as part of its 75th Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Sia Event Associates Pvt. Ltd. is managing the event.
Organizers said the exhibition will feature more than 100 stalls, with participation from Nepal and neighbouring India. All available stalls have already been booked, reflecting strong interest from the real estate and construction sectors.
The event will showcase apartments, land development projects, cement, steel, timber, glass, paints, sanitary ware, electrical appliances, interior design services, solar energy solutions, rainwater harvesting systems and waste management technologies.
This year’s exhibition will also promote an eco-friendly and paperless approach by using digital standees, electronic kiosks and VR/AR technologies to reduce paper use and improve visitor experience.
Exhibition coordinator Roshan Bhoyadhwo said the event will focus on resilient infrastructure, planned urban development and sustainable housing solutions. Industry representatives are also expected to discuss policy reforms needed to revive Nepal’s real estate market.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce representative Malhotra has called for raising the loan-to-value ratio to 70 percent, saying it could help support the housing market at a time when banking liquidity is improving and interest rates are showing a downward trend.
According to NLHDA President Deepak Kunwar, the exhibition will present housing options starting from around NPR 14 million. Organizers expect more than 65,000 visitors during the event.
The exhibition will also include free consultations on earthquake-resistant construction and Vastu Shastra. Health camps will be organized in coordination with Om Hospital and Grande International Hospital, with special medical support packages for victims of the recent Rasuwa floods.
As part of its social responsibility efforts, the organizers have also provided food, clothing, medicines, drone equipment and a cash contribution of NPR 3.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund following the August 26 floods in Rasuwa.
Panel discussions involving policymakers, engineers, architects and industry experts will focus on climate change, disaster-resilient infrastructure and public-private partnerships. Selected young entrepreneurs will also receive free training and business mentorship.
Held regularly since 2009, the Nepal Real Estate and Housing Exhibition has become an important platform for people looking to explore housing options, construction services, investment opportunities and the future direction of Nepal’s real estate sector.
