Kathmandu – Bhat-Bhateni Super Store in Tangal, Kathmandu, is set to resume regular operations from Monday.
Chief Operating Officer of Bhat-Bhateni Super Market, Panu Poudel, said the Tangal outlet will begin providing regular daily services to customers from Monday.
Despite suffering major losses, the company said it has continued to prioritize both its business operations and responsibilities toward employees.
Bhat-Bhateni Super Market Chairman and Managing Director Min Bahadur Gurung said the company has retained more than 10,000 employees without layoffs and continued their roles at stores that have already resumed operations.
In a statement, Gurung reflected on the damage caused by the arson incidents and said the company remained committed to rebuilding.
He said Bhat-Bhateni began reconstruction work within a week by clearing burned structures and debris. Within five months of the fire, the company was able to reopen its heavily damaged store in Koteshwor.
According to Gurung, Bhat-Bhateni has so far reopened 10 of the 12 stores damaged by fire. The remaining two stores are in the final stages of reconstruction and are expected to resume operations soon.
Structural repairs, equipment installation and interior construction are currently underway at the company’s stores in Damak and Hetauda.
The company said it aims to restore services at these locations as soon as possible while maintaining quality standards and ensuring long-term operational sustainability.
Bhat-Bhateni added that rebuilding severely fire-damaged stores requires significant time, resources and investment. However, the company said continuous work around the clock has helped it gradually restore services to customers.
