Kathmandu – Three Nepali organizations based in the United States have donated a combined US$226,000 in relief assistance for people affected by the Bhote Koshi floods.
Representatives of the organizations separately handed over cheques to Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal for flood relief efforts.
NH Nepali Samaj contributed US$120,000, while America Nepal Helping Society, Virginia donated US$93,000. Gurung Society Inc. USA provided an additional US$13,000 in relief support.
Receiving the assistance, Minister Khanal expressed gratitude to the organizations and the wider Nepali community in the United States for their solidarity and support for people affected by the floods.
The contribution is expected to support ongoing relief efforts for flood-affected communities in the Bhote Koshi area.
