Kathmandu – Journalist Sandeep Paudel has been honored with the Journalism Award at the Yaman Global Music Awards 2083 in recognition of his longstanding contribution to Nepali journalism and the communications sector.
The award was presented to Paudel at a ceremony organized by Yaman Entertainment in Kathmandu on Saturday. The chief guest honored him with a khada, garland and shawl before presenting him with the award.
Paudel has been active in Nepali journalism, communications and creative fields for more than two decades. He currently serves as Sub Editor of Himalaya Times and Editor of e-Himalaya Times.
Alongside journalism, Paudel has expanded his work into songwriting, music and documentary production. His creative work has focused particularly on social, cultural and community-related issues.
According to the award’s selection committee, Paudel was recognized for his longstanding contribution to the development and promotion of Nepali journalism. He has also contributed as a lyricist, with his works featured in the Nepali music scene.
Paudel has produced documentaries and written extensively on social and cultural subjects, with a particular focus on the Thakali community and issues concerning children.
Over the course of his career, he has worked with various media organizations, including Image Television, taking on responsibilities related to news reporting, editing and content production. He later joined Himalaya Times, where he continues to contribute to the media sector.
The Yaman Global Music Awards 2083, organized by Yaman Entertainment, honored creators, artists, media professionals and other personalities for their contributions to various fields of music and entertainment.
