Kathmandu – Today is the last day for investors to secure the dividend of Siddhartha Bank Limited. The bank will close its books for one day tomorrow, Asoj 16, for the purpose of its annual general meeting (AGM) and dividend distribution.
Shareholders whose names are registered in the bank’s share register through trading on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) up to today will be eligible to attend the AGM and receive the dividend the bank distributes.
25th Annual General Meeting
The bank has called its 25th Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, Asoj 28, at the Army Officers’ Club in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am.
Key Proposals
The AGM is expected to pass the following proposals:
- A special proposal to distribute a 10% bonus share on the current paid-up capital, along with a 10% cash dividend, which includes the amount for tax purposes
- A cash dividend of 8.25% for irredeemable non-cumulative preference shareholders, calculated proportionately for 136 days
- Authorizing the board of directors to amend the Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Appointing an auditor, among other agenda items
