Kathmandu — A large number of passengers have gathered at the New Bus Park in Gongabu, Kathmandu, to book advance bus tickets for travelling home during the Dashain festival.
Advance ticket booking opened today, Ashwin 23 (October 9), prompting passengers to arrive at the Gongabu bus park to secure seats for journeys to different parts of the country.
The rush comes as people prepare to leave the Kathmandu Valley to celebrate Dashain with their families. Advance booking is expected to help passengers plan their journeys and manage the increased demand for public transportation during the festive period.
To assist travellers, a citizen help desk has also been set up at the Gongabu New Bus Park. The facility is intended to provide passengers with information and assistance related to ticketing and transportation services.
With Dashain approaching, the capital is expected to see a significant increase in passenger movement as people begin returning to their hometowns for the festival
