Kathmandu — Ride-hailing platform inDrive has launched a new Passenger 360 campaign in Nepal under the slogan “Agree on the Fare, Both Sides Are Happy,” highlighting fare transparency, passenger choice, and mutual agreement between passengers and drivers.
The campaign emphasizes inDrive’s commitment to providing convenient, reliable, and accessible transportation while allowing passengers and drivers to negotiate fares and reach a mutually acceptable agreement before a trip begins.
Through the inDrive app, passengers can view a suggested fare and offer the amount they are willing to pay. Nearby drivers can either accept the proposed fare or submit a counteroffer. Passengers can then select a driver based on the agreed fare, estimated arrival time, driver rating, and vehicle details.
By confirming the fare before the journey, the platform aims to help passengers know their expected transportation costs in advance. The ability to check a driver’s estimated arrival time also allows users to choose a ride according to their schedules and immediate needs.
The system also gives drivers greater flexibility in deciding which ride requests to accept. Drivers can decline requests or propose an alternative fare if they disagree with the passenger’s offer. The campaign presents this two-way negotiation process as a way to support transparency and satisfaction for both parties.
inDrive Highlights Fare Transparency and Convenience
Mark Tolley, Regional Director for Asia Pacific at inDrive, said the Passenger 360 campaign reinforces the company’s commitment to providing convenient, reliable transportation and value for money to passengers in Nepal.
He noted that advance fare information and timely vehicle availability are important considerations for commuters in Kathmandu. According to Tolley, mutually agreed fares have been a key feature of inDrive since its inception, giving passengers greater control over pricing while allowing drivers to participate in decisions affecting their earnings.
inDrive brand ambassador and actress Swastima Khadka also highlighted the importance of fare transparency, particularly in a busy city like Kathmandu.
She said that agreeing on a fare before a trip begins helps reduce the possibility of misunderstandings between passengers and drivers at the end of a journey. Khadka added that the campaign’s message reflects the importance of mutual agreement and trust in everyday transportation.
New Campaign Video Features Swastima Khadka
As part of the campaign, inDrive has released a new promotional video featuring Khadka. The video incorporates music inspired by Nepali culture and local settings to communicate the message of agreement and satisfaction between passengers and drivers.
The company expects the locally inspired creative approach to connect with Nepali audiences by reflecting their everyday experiences and cultural sensibilities.
Through the Passenger 360 campaign, inDrive aims to reinforce its distinctive fare-negotiation model while emphasizing passenger choice, transparent pricing, and a mutually agreeable ride experience in Nepal.
