Kathmandu – Gold prices in Nepal recorded a sharp increase on Thursday, November 5, 2026, rising by Rs 13,300 per tola in a single day amid higher prices in the international bullion market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold reached Rs 288,900 per tola, compared with Rs 275,600 on Wednesday.
Silver prices also increased significantly, climbing by Rs 265 per tola to Rs 3,920, up from Rs 3,655 the previous day.
The latest increase represents a daily rise of approximately 4.8 percent in gold prices and 7.3 percent in silver prices, highlighting substantial movement in Nepal’s precious metals market.
Gold prices are influenced by international market trends, exchange rates and other global economic developments. Changes in these factors can quickly affect domestic bullion prices.
The sharp increase comes ahead of the Tihar festival, a period when gold and silver traditionally attract attention from jewellery buyers and households.
The latest rates place fine gold at Rs 247,685 per 10 grams, while silver is priced at Rs 3,360.50 per 10 grams, according to the reported market figures.
