Issuing a statement, officials of the portal said that the Ebeema.com is a first of its kind portal in Nepal which allows users to compare and buy insurance policies from multiple insurance providers.

May 1, 2016: Ebeema.com, an online insurance portal, has been officially launched. Ebeema.com is a first of its kind portal in Nepal which allows users to compare and buy insurance policies from multiple insurance providers. The portal's features include tracking of the customers' policies, receiving reminders for expiration and payments, scheduling physical surveys and medical checkups, making claims, among others. Ebeema’s current product portfolio includes insurance for homes (fire, earthquake, and burglary), cars, two-wheelers, health, personal accident, travel, and life insurance. Ebeema will currently be working with six life insurance and six non-life insurance companies.
