Fun Run 2024: Massive Success with 1,500+ Participants

The International Women’s Day 5k Fun Run/Walk, hosted on March 16 at St. Xavier’s School Ground in Jawalakhel, saw an impressive turnout of over 1500 participants. Organized by Higher Ground Nepal, the event aimed to celebrate women’s empowerment and foster inclusion.

The festivities kicked off with an energetic Zumba warm-up session led by Elegant Zumba, setting a lively tone for the morning. Participants from all walks of life, including women, men, and children, eagerly took on the course in support of the cause.

Starting at 7:30 am, the Fun Run/Walk showcased participants’ dedication to fitness and inclusion as they traversed the route, embodying the event’s theme of “Inspire Inclusion.”

A vibrant Sustainable Bazaar offered eco-friendly products and delicious food for attendees to enjoy post-run/walk. The morning also featured another lively Zumba session and a touching performance by Blind Rocks, an organization empowering Nepal’s blind community.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing top finishers like Karan Rawal and Purna Laxmi Neupane. Winners received exciting prizes, including Skechers shoes and gift hampers from generous sponsors.
