Mount Everest Triumph: Jigme Palden Dorji makes history for Bhutan

Jigme Palden Dorji has become the first Bhutanese person to climb the world’s highest peak. He is a lieutenant in the Royal Bhutan Army.

Dorji successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest at 9:30 AM on Monday, as reported by Pasang Sherpa, the chairman of Pioneer Adventure Pvt. Ltd. He climbed Everest with guide Chakra Rai.
