NIC Asia Bank launches Mastercard service for Nepal, India, and Bhutan
Kathmandu: NIC Asia Bank has started a Mastercard service. The bank announced the launch of this card service during an event held in Pokhara on Sunday.
The bank said it started this service to strengthen the payment system. Customers can get the Mastercard, which can be used as a debit card, from all branch offices of the bank.
According to the bank, the Mastercard uses advanced security technology (EMV chip) and modern ‘contactless’ technology. With this card, customers can use ATM machines, POS, and e-commerce payment services in Nepal, India, and Bhutan.
The bank believes that this partnership between NIC Asia Bank, which is striving to establish itself as a ‘digital first’ bank, and the world-renowned Mastercard will make a significant contribution to Nepal’s banking sector.
