Shifting Realities: An architectural exhibition at Dalai-la Art Space
Kathmandu — Dalai-La Art Space is set to host the grand opening of the exhibition “Shifting Realities” on July 6, 2024. This event, featuring the works of six talented architects—Anushka, Roman, Sanchita, Anjalee, Aakriti, and Amar—will take place from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dalai-La Art Space in Thamel.
Shifting realities explores how an experience of a particular place, culture, and event can be conceived as an important architectural instrument that starts to question how buildings and spaces are designed. It aims to shift the current paradigm of architectural thinking in Nepal and open new doors of what is possible in the industry while still being rooted in our story.
These six projects offer interpretations of experiences, events, places, and cultures through three-dimensional forms, essentially storytelling through architecture. The exhibition emphasizes that architecture should transcend walls and narrate the stories of its time and place. It aspires to tell stories not only of the tragic and irreversible past but also of hope and new possibilities.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until July 27, 2024.
