AirAsia launches Bangkok-Kathmandu flights with special fares starting at Rs 9,990 one-way
AirAsia is unveiling a completely new travel experience with flights to a city embraced by the Himalayas and home to multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Travelers from Thailand are now just a flight away to get close to the Peak of the World with the new Bangkok (Don Mueang) – Kathmandu, Nepal route that will kick off with a four-weekly flight frequency from 2 October 2024.
AirAsia introduces the route with a promotional fare starting at only 9,990 NPR per trip. Book 12 August – 25 August 2024 for travel from 2 October 2024 – 28 March 2025.

Thus latest route will definitely be of benefit to both regions, ” Mr. Santisuk said.
Nepal is a must-visit for its cultural beauty. Visitors can see Swayambhunath, a temple complex featuring the Buddha’s eyes of wisdom looking out in each of the four directions on its main stupa and from where travelers can gain their own view of Kathmandu. Boudhanath, Nepal’s largest pagoda, was registered as a World Heritage site in 1979. Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, is an essential destination for members of the Buddhist faith, and joins Kathmandu Durbar Square in the millennium old capital of Bhaktapur as one of the many historically rich places to see on a trip to Kathmandu.
For nature enthusiasts, Nepal offers unique terrain with one of the most stunning views in the world. In nearby Pokhara is the famed Annapurna Base Camp, or ABC, where hikers can be thrilled by Phewa Lake before setting off to Everest Base Camp, or EBC, a top spot of adventurers.
