Today is China’s National Day! Here’s how the country celebrates

October 1st marks China’s National Day, a day filled with patriotic celebrations. From flag-raising ceremonies to parades, fireworks, and cultural performances, the day is packed with activities that honor the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. This year marks its 75th anniversary.

Citizens also enjoy a week-long holiday, known as the Golden Week, where many travel, spend time with family, and enjoy special events nationwide.

The strong Nepal-China relationship was honored during a celebration held last Friday, where government officials, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors gathered to commemorate the occasion.
