Citizens Bank and Nepal Clearing House partner to enable Cross-Border payments via Alipay+

Citizens Bank International Limited and Nepal Clearing House (NCHL) have agreed to enable seamless cross-border payments through Alipay+ member wallets. The partnership was formalized at a signing ceremony where Ganesh Raj Pokharel, CEO of Citizens Bank, and Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of NCHL, represented their respective organizations.

This collaboration introduces a significant advancement in payment solutions for Nepal. Through the integration of Alipay+ member wallets with Nepal Pay QR and interoperable merchant QR codes, tourists from countries including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Macau, Thailand, South Korea, and Italy can now make transactions in Nepal using their domestic digital wallets.
