Temporary bridge to support rescue, relief and transportation
Nuwakot – An Acrow bridge is being installed by the Nepal Army over the Tadi River in Bidur, Nuwakot, to restore road connectivity severed by the devastating Bhotekoshi floods on August 26.
Road connectivity between Rasuwa and Nuwakot was severely disrupted after the devastating floods swept away bridges and sections of the roadway at multiple locations. Several key bridges were damaged or completely washed away, leaving communities cut off and making the movement of people, vehicles, relief supplies and rescue teams extremely difficult.
The temporary bridge is expected to restore a vital route and facilitate the movement of rescue teams, relief supplies and affected residents.
