AIForAll initiative launched in Nepal to build practical AI skills
Kathmandu – A practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy initiative titled “AIForAll – From Knowing AI to Using AI” has been jointly launched by One Cover Pvt. Ltd. and Dursikshya Education Network. The programme has been aimed at equipping students, professionals, and organisations across Nepal with hands-on and industry-relevant AI skills.
The initiative has been introduced with the objective of bridging the gap between AI awareness and real-world application. A strong emphasis has been placed on practical learning, ethical usage, and responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence, particularly Generative AI tools.
AIForAll Focuses on Real-World AI Application
It has been stated that AIForAll has been designed to move learners beyond theoretical understanding. Participants are being enabled to apply AI tools confidently in academic work, internships, and professional environments. Practical knowledge of Generative AI, effective prompt writing, and ethical AI usage has been prioritised under the programme.
Industry Leaders Highlight Digital Transformation Goals
According to statements shared during the launch, capacity building and future-ready digital skills are expected to be strengthened through the initiative. The collaboration has been positioned as a step toward supporting Nepal’s growing ICT ecosystem.

Jumpstart AI Introduced as Core Programme
At the centre of AIForAll, a 15-hour structured AI literacy course titled “Jumpstart AI” has been introduced. The programme has been developed to guide learners “from knowing AI to using AI,” with a focus on practical application in academics, internships, and future careers.
Core Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, participants are expected to:
Communicate effectively with Generative AI tools
Explain GenAI concepts using simple and practical language
Write effective prompts for academic and professional use
Apply AI ethically and efficiently across coursework and workplace tasks
Programme Structure and Curriculum
The curriculum has been divided into two equal modules:
Module 1: Gen AI & Prompt Fundamentals (7.5 hours) – Covering core Generative AI concepts and prompt engineering skills
Module 2: English for AI Communication (7.5 hours) – Strengthening communication skills required for effective AI interaction
Blended Learning Approach Adopted
A blended learning methodology has been adopted to maximise outcomes:
50 percent instructor-led sessions
30 percent hands-on practical exercises
20 percent self and peer learning prior to classroom engagement
This structure has been designed to ensure both conceptual clarity and real-world confidence.
