Ample opportunities to boost bilateral trade with Kyrgyzstan says Sharma
Ramesh Sharma, the Secretary General of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Nepal.
The flag hosting and inauguration ceremony were attended by Askar Beshimov, the Non-residential Ambassador to Nepal.
Sharma, who is also the chairman of Sharma and Company, a construction firm based in Nepal, is expected to use his new role to enhance and strengthen the bilateral economic relations between Nepal and Kyrgyzstan.
He said that Kyrgyzstan imports dairy products, bananas, tea, malt-based beer, pet food, plywood, veneer panels, ready-made clothes, shoes, jewelry, and sanitary towels from various countries.
Nepal produces these items, so there is potential for Nepal to export them to Kyrgyzstan. He also requested the Kyrgyz Ambassador to Nepal, Askar Beshimov, to facilitate this process.
