Bianca Adler Becomes Youngest Australian To Summit Mount Everest
Kathmandu – Eighteen-year-old Bianca Adler from Melbourne has made history by becoming the youngest Australian climber to successfully summit Mount Everest. She reached the world’s highest peak on May 20, 2026, during Nepal’s busy spring climbing season through the southern Nepali route.
According to reports, Bianca completed her summit push around 11 hours after leaving high camp on Everest. Her achievement became even more remarkable as it came on her second attempt after dangerous weather conditions forced her to turn back last year at around 8,450 meters — just 400 meters below the 8,849-meter summit.
Her successful ascent has been praised as a major milestone in Australian mountaineering and an inspiring achievement for young climbers around the world. Bianca’s story has also become one of the standout moments of this year’s historic Everest climbing season in Nepal.
