The 2.5 km long cable car ensures a smooth and safe journey, all the while giving you an up-close view of the untainted wilderness.
Chandragiri Hills is seven kilometers from Kalanki which lies on the south-west of Kathmandu valley.
Bhaleshwor Mahadev temple is also located at Chandragiri Hill. It is believed that the people who worship Bhaleshwor get their wishes fulfilled. Bhaleshwor Mahadev appeared at the spot where Satidevi’s ‘Bhala’ or the forehead fell off from her dead body.
At 2,547 meters above sea level, the view tower at Chandragiri Hills gives you an unobstructed 180-degree view of the majestic himalayas. From the Annapurna ranges to Mt. Everest, the snow-capped peaks feel like they are just an arm’s length away from you.
The children’s playground is designed to entertain young ones with exciting recreational equipment like climbing ropes, swings, slides, seesaws and a jungle gym.
Chandragiri hills carry historical significance as well. It was from these hills that King Prithivi Narayan Shah caught the first glimpse of a much scenic and prosperous Kathmandu valley, which in fact instilled in the king’s mind an idea of annexing the valley into his kingdom.
