Chinese film screening in Kathmandu on January 9
Kathmandu is set to host the inaugural China Film Day on January 9, aiming to deepen cultural and cinematic connections between Nepal and China.
The event at Chhaya Centre in Thamel is a collaborative effort by the China Film Administration, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the China Film Archive, and the Nepal Film and Cultural Academy (NFCA).
As part of the celebration, three acclaimed Chinese films will be screened, showcasing the richness of Chinese cinema. Additionally, an interactive session with filmmakers will provide an opportunity for cultural exchange and dialogue, strengthening ties through storytelling and film production.
This initiative underscores the growing collaboration between the two nations in promoting cultural and artistic heritage.
