Kathmandu: Code for Nepal has announced the launch of Data Fellowship 2026, a new initiative that will provide 1,000 participants with free training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science. The fellowship is being offered in partnership with technology-focused digital media platform TechPana with the goal of expanding access to digital skills across Nepal.
Under the fellowship, selected participants will receive one year of free and unlimited access to DataCamp’s premium AI and Data Science courses. The annual subscription, which normally costs US$330 (approximately Rs. 44,000) per person, will be provided at no cost, giving participants access to internationally recognized learning resources.
Code for Nepal has been collaborating with DataCamp through the DataCamp Donates initiative since 2021. According to the organization, the partnership has already benefited more than 3,000 participants and brought over Rs. 50 million worth of in-kind educational support to Nepal. The organization said the fellowship is helping develop a skilled workforce capable of meeting the growing demand for AI and data professionals.
Founder Ravi Kumar said Nepal’s ambition to become a regional digital hub depends on strengthening technical and digital skills. He added that the fellowship is designed to create career opportunities for aspiring professionals while contributing to the country’s digital transformation. TechPana Chief Executive Officer Bijay Timilsina said the partnership will help bridge the digital divide by making world-class technology education accessible to talented individuals across the country.
The fellowship is open to anyone in Nepal interested in pursuing a career in technology, data analytics, or artificial intelligence. Interested applicants can find detailed eligibility criteria and apply through the official Code for Nepal website or the Data Fellowship 2026 application portal.
